We need a world-class striker

Chelsea is now a youthful attacking minded club that has been built around a 4-2-3-1 system and I truly believe the only position we need to fill is that of a world class striker. I think Demba Ba is a great backup, and I am a huge fan of Lukaku, but I think he needs a bit more time to develop.
I personally feel that Fernando Torres is a great striker, I just don't think he has played well in our system and has had a rough few seasons. If we were to sell him it would not break my heart. Schurrle is a solid signing. He is young, was not incredibly expensive and has a lot of first team experience for a strong club in the Bundesliga. However, Chelsea should sign Cavani or Lewendowski. I would actually prefer Lewendowski at this point because he is younger and would sign for less money (though I would probably celebrate for three months if we beat out Real and City for Cavani's signature).  Either one, along with Schurrle, Ba and Lukaku would give us a solid attacking strike force. But would mean we would either sell Ba, or loan out Lukaku.
I believe with De Bruyne, Oscar, Moses, Hazard, Mata and Josh McEachran we have a quick, skillful and young attacking midfield so I would not waste money on Hulk, whom i believe is vastly overrated and overpriced. He had a terrible season in Russia and has not been playing very well in the Brazilian national team, though Scolari continues to play him. Then of course we have Lamps, who should eventually retire at the Bridge, but who will probably not be a regular starter going forward. I am still a bit confused as to why we signed Marko Marin. I think he is now surplus to requirements at the club.

In the defensive midfield I love having Ramires and David Luis there. Getting Essien back is great because he can play at right back or defensive midfield. John Mikel Obi is still young at 26 and is a really solid defensive midfielder. If we don't sell him, he is a great back up and a good sub to bring on in those games where we need to hold the lead. Lamps also played further back this year, so I think we are covered. Ake and Romeu are both solid young players too.
At the back we have Azpilicueta on the right (probably our weakest position) but he is an effective player and there are not that many great right backs available. Essien and Ivanovic can both play here too. In the center we are solid, with Cahill, Terry and Ivanovic all very capable, and David Luiz also able to play here in a pinch. All four can score goals on corners and are tough guys to play against. Terry has lost a step, but he is still a great leader and I believe he will get a good number of starts under Mourinho. Leftback: Two words. Ashley Cole.  We might need a backup goaltender, but I am glad that Courtois is going back out on loan to Atletico because experience is much more important at this stage in his career as Petr Cech is going to start every game that he is healthy.
I think we are all in for an exciting six weeks here as the transfer window opens, and I am very excited for the future of the club. I truly hope that Jose Mourinho stays at least for the duration of his contract. I believe that now that he has experienced managing for two other European powerhouses in two different leagues he is ready to settle down. I also believe that Roman wants stability now and understands how important that can be for the club. But who knows.
