Ranieri's Rants: Spurs (a)

Ranners said "We are not looking at Arsenal - we are looking only at Chelsea. There are seven matches until the end of the season and we want to continue and try to do our best, but three points were very important today."

"We have been working hard since the beginning of the season and now we are very close to doing something important for Chelsea.

"We are in good condition now and playing good football. We want to improve on last season and everything is in our hands - we must continue to play with this mentality.

"It was difficult today because London derbies are tight, so it was important to come here and win."

Spurs manager David Pleat was suffering from a severe case of sour grapes after the game. Before the game, he questioned the morality of Chelsea's spending spree. He thinks that everyone should be at a playing level field- if you are so keen for that David, be my guest and go and coach in the Albanian league! It's more your level anyway!

But enough of that, here's what the ugly gnome had to say: "I thought Duff might have been half a yard offside when he crossed for Hasselbaink's goal.

"What is more annoying is that we had a certain penalty. You only had to see the reaction of every one of our players. Have a look, and you will see it was a penalty."

Ain't life a bitch when you can't beat the mighty Chelsea! On a side note, the last time Spurs beat us at White Hart Lane in the league I was only 2 years old!
