Chelsea's young gun Tammy Abraham showed the senior side what winning is all about as the England u-18 side beat Russia's u-18 side 2-0 today.
With the seniors producing a lamentable 0-0 draw with Eire at the weekend, Camberwell-born Abraham was part of a successful side as they young Lions won 2-0.
While Abraham failed to get on the scoresheet to add to his 41 golas in all competitions for the Chelsea development squad last season, he did shine through with a powewrful all-round performance.
Goals from Newcastle’s Adam Armstrong with a penalty and a classy effort from Fulham’s Patrick Roberts saw off their opponents. The second of the double-header with Russia is on Wednesday.
