Bolton's Tal Ben Haim is Chelsea's latest signing.
The 25-year-old centreback joins the Blues on a free transfer.
While Chelsea are remaining typically tight-lipped about the deal, chelsea-mad has recieved information that the Israel defender will put pen to paper later tonight or tomorrow.
It's no secret that Jose Mourinho tried to buy the player during the transfer window but was blocked by Roman Abramovich into spending the £3m needed to secure him.
The decision might appear now to look like a good one as Chelsea will have saved themselves the cash.
However Chelsea finished six points behind champions Manchester United in the Premiership.
Had the double winning champions bought Ben Haim, then it's more than likely Chelsea would have won more of the games they drew.
How close they would have of overhauling United is now pure speculation - for my opinion, Chelsea would have become triple champions and secured a place in the Champions League Final.
Is that worth the £3m saving?
It's expected that Kharlid Boulahouz will leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Germany is the expected destination and Bayern Munich the likely club.
Cheerio Boula and hello Tal.
