Stretchered from the field after 36 minutes of Israel's 4-3 friendly defeat to the Ivory Coast on Wednesday night, Parkhead midfielder Kayal initially believed he had sustained a broken ankle identical to Izaguirre's in Aberdeen last weekend.

Last night, examinations suggested the ankle was merely badly swollen and bruised. Like Celtic skipper Scott Brown - injured in action for Scotland against Denmark - the Israeli could miss tomorrow's SPL clash with Dundee United and is now touch and go for the Europa League clash with Sion next week.
To the relief of Kayal and Celtic, however, there seems to be no long-term damage.
'I was in shock when I felt the pain in my ankle because the first thing that flashed through my mind was what happened to Emilio Izaguirre,' said Kayal. 'He (Drogba) came in very hard.
'In a regular game, he would have got a yellow card or perhaps even a red card for something like that.
'He apologised to me afterwards. I'm undergoing examinations and we'll see what the situation is.'

Celtic were awaiting confirmation from their own tests last night but are facing up to more short-term personnel problems after left-back Izaguirre's Pittodrie fracture ruled the Honduran out for six months.
Centre-half Glenn Loovens's hamstring problem has also ruled the Dutchman out for a month.
Dundee United manager Peter Houston, Craig Levein's Scotland assistant, spoke to Brown after Wednesday's win over Denmark and believes the Parkhead captain? will be fit enough to make his first league appearance of the season after serving a two-game suspension.
'Scotty is a big player for both Celtic and Scotland,' said Houston. 'I was disappointed to see him go off against Denmark at Hampden but I think he will be OK.
'That's judging from looking at him and talking to him after the game and knowing what kind of guy he is.
'He never likes missing any game and he has already missed the? opening two through suspension, so he will be raring to go.
'I was actually joking with him that he would have no chance of making it and that he should rest up - but I think it fell on deaf ears.'
