Blues Bid To End Hoodoo

The runs stretches back to 1988, when we defeated Rovers in a second division play off match. Prior to that, we beat them in a second division league match in 1984.

But to find a top flight Chelsea victory over Blackburn at Stamford Bridge, you have to go back to 1966! On that occasion we triumphed by a goal to nil.

Chelsea legend and, allegedly a Chelsea fan as well, Mark Hughes is now in charge at Blackburn. Sparky is sure to get a fantastic from the Stamford Bridge faithful, who will remember his performances in leading us to the 1997 FA Cup, 1998 League Cup and 1998 Cup Winners' Cup.

Whilst we all wish him well at Blackburn, those good wishes will be held back until after we have played Rovers!
