Blues Finish Third in 2003

The stats prove that Arsenal were just 8 league points better than us this year, a statistic that I found somewhat surprising. However, Manchester United were well ahead of the pack, taking 91 points from 36 games. An incredible achievement by anyone's standards.

The once mighty Liverpool took just 56 points from 35 games in 2003- alamringly poor for a side that finished second in the Premiership just 18 months ago.
