Claudio said of his fellow Italian, "Gianfranco was fantastic again - he is our wizard and he was our man of the match. It was very important to score the first goal, and after that the guys played better and with more confidence.
"We wanted to win, and it was very important. That is why I put three of my strikers together, and it was a good decision - they played well.
"It [the Champions League] is important for us like it is for Everton and Liverpool. We have the three best teams fighting for this position. Charlton and Southampton, I think it is a little too far for them."
Gary Megson, whilst gutted at his side's performance, could clearly see that his team had been caught cold by the wonderful Zola: "You have to realise they [West Brom players] are playing with a little bit of fear, knowing they are playing against international footballers and players like Zola, who are on a different planet.
"At times they were way, way above us."
