Gary Cahill has, as expected, signed on the dotted line to a megabucks deal at SW6.
The 26-year-old centre-back is will make his Chelsea bow against Norwich City on Saturday.
Cahill, who takes the vacant no 24 shirt, will partner John Terry in the centre of Chelsea's defence and his signing is a clear attempt to stem the number of goals the Blues have been leaking of late.
David Luiz will lose his place in the middle of the defence but could feature as a right-back as incumbent Jose Bosingwa continues to show signs of tactical frailty.
