Cech Has Surgery

Cech, who has has missed the last nine games with an ankle injury, underwent surgery on Sunday on injuries to his lip and chin reportedly caused by a freak accident when Tal Ben Haim caught the Chelsea keeper in the face with his studs during training.

The Czech Republic international had been expected to make his comeback in the Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg match against Fenerbahce at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night but that now seems unlikely.
