Cech has been in fine form throughout the summer, starring for the Czech Republic at Euro 2004 and then playing a prominent part in our US Tour.
Speaking at a press conference, the giant Czech keeper said "In the last friendly match I played the biggest part in the match.
"If we're are going on the last match, I was number one so I suppose I will be the privileged one."
If he is given the nod, Cech will not be fazed: "No at all, every match so far has been very exciting for me. I go into every game with full enthusiasm and I give 100 per cent, the same will happen against Manchester."
As for his thoughts on his goalkeeping rival Carlo Cudicini, Cech added: "We have a very good relationship. Even when I was just settling in, he helped me."
Whoever keeps net on Sunday, Chelsea fans will have full confidence in their ability! For the first time since 2001/02, Chelsea has some real competition for the number one jersey, and it is sure to keep our keepers firmly on their toes!
