Chelsea - Spurs dance is on again

Chelsea and Tottenham start their courtship dance again this morning.
The two locked horns and threw their handbags at each other on Tuesday over compensation which would allow Frank Arnesen to join the Stamford Bridge outfit.
They failed to reach agreement then and will start to act in a professional manner once more.

Quite what Chelsea will offer Spurs by way of compensation is anybody's guess - my reckoning is that it will be as little as possible.
Look at what they did to Claudio Ranieri.
Whatever they offer Arnesen, I recommend to the man he gets his lawyer to go over every detail of the contract.

Reports suggest that Spurs want £15m, including midfielder Scott Parker, striker Mikael Forrsell on loan and their wages paid for. with Chelsea offering £1m.

Arnesen is still suspended by Tottenham - amid claims that the Blues made an illegal approach for his services.

Chelsea have denied breaching Premier League rules after formally requesting permission to speak to the 48-year-old.

But Spurs maintain that the Premiership champions broke the rules because their letter was copied to the Dane.

Arnesen job at the home of the champions will be to take over as head of scouting and the academy, earning around £4.3m over three years.

As I said, Frank, check that contract.
