Chelsea Agree Fee For Cole!!

Before the Roman Abramovich takeover, it was thought that Cole was one of Claudio Ranieri's transfer targets. But, as the summer slipped by, rumours of a move for Cole seemed to die down. Indeed, it comes as a complete shock to Chelsea Mad that a fee has even been agreed.

However, it is common knowledge that the Blues are on the lookout for a central midfielder or two. I do have a sneaky suspicion that Joe Cole won't be the only midfielder coming on board this week- more on that later though. Here's an official statement released by West Ham:

"West Ham United would like to confirm the acceptance of a £6.6 million offer from Chelsea for the transfer of Joe Cole. This transfer is still subject to the player agreeing personal terms, and passing a medical."

So, Joe Cole- the next Gianfranco Zola?? Well, he's got the potential now he just needs the right coaching...
