Chelsea Confirm Interest In Bassi

Revealed exclusively on this evening's ChelseaTV, Chelsea confirmed their interest in the 21-year-old central defender but stated that: "Following a period of trial with the club Chelsea have decided not to continue their interest in the player".

The words "not being up to scratch/or not making the grade were mentioned" - but don't quote me on that!

So that's that then.........I'm just amazed that the newspapers actually got something right.

To be honest I'm surprised that Chelsea are looking are a central defender with the impressive youngster Robert Huth knocking on the first team door.

At least the story has been put to bed quickly.............
