Chelsea have confirmed the news that Willy Caballero has put pen to paper on a new one-year deal with the club to take his stay at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2020/21 season.
He's made nine appearances in all competitions this season for the Blues, primarily as backup to the out-of-form Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has 'enjoyed' a disappointing campaign.

His performances have, somehow, warranted fresh terms in west London, with the club confirming they will keep the Argentine for another season, despite him making just 31 outings across his two-and-a-half seasons with Chelsea.
Caballero said, on the club's official website, that he was pleased to sign a new deal: "I am very happy to make this announcement. It is a privilege to be part of this Chelsea squad and the Chelsea family, at one of the most historic clubs in the Premier League.
"It is a difficult time for everyone right now so I feel blessed by this opportunity and truly appreciate it. I want to thank my team-mates for helping me to be my best and I want to thank the boss and the club for extending my contract. I’m sure they will continue to demand the maximum from me and I will compete with the same energy as always. I am very happy."
Frank Lampard also weighed in on the news, expressing his satisfaction at tying the goalkeeper down for another season and insisting he is a valuable member of the squad.
"I trust in Willy, he trains brilliantly and is a great professional," Lampard said. "He stepped into the team earlier this year and showed his quality, and his experience is invaluable in the dressing room. I’m delighted he will be with us next season."
