Alex Davey has signed a loan deal until January to play for League Two side Crawley Town.
Centre-back Davey, now 21, won the FA Youth Cup In 2012 with the Blues and will get plenty of help under the guidance of Crawley boss Dermot Drummy.
Drummy is of course a former U-18 coach at Chelsea and knows the talent available at SW6 inside out.
