Chelsea predicted lineup vs AC Milan - Champions League

Chelsea are seeking their first Champions League win of the season when they host AC Milan at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

The Blues have so far taken only one point from their opening two games against Dinamo Zagreb and Red Bull Salzburg and are yet to find their rhythm under Graham Potter.

Saturday's Premier League win against Crystal Palace was low on quality and now they face Group E leaders AC Milan.

This is how Potter could set his team up...

1. Chelsea XI (4-2-3-1)

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga - Set to keep his place from the weekend, even though Edouard Mendy has returned to training this week.

RB: Reece James - Kept Wilfried Zaha quiet at the weekend and will face an even tougher task here against Rafael Leao.

CB: Thiago Silva - Arguably fortunate not to be sent off for a pretty blatant deliberate handball. Gets the chance here to face his former club.

CB: Wesley Fofana - These are the kind of games he joined Chelsea to play in and will hope to get the nod over Kalidou Koulibaly.

LB: Ben Chilwell - Has lost his place to Marc Cucurella this season, but the the Spaniard has only just returning to training after illness.

CM: Mateo Kovacic - Must be on top of his game to give Chelsea a foothold in central areas and deny Milan theirs.

CM: Jorginho - Suffered an injury at the weekend and had to come off, but has been training since then. Conor Gallagher remains in reserve.

RM: Raheem Sterling - Not at his best at the weekend when things didn't seem to go his way. Could switch to the right in a slight reshuffle.

AM: Mason Mount - Another who could move into a different role on Wednesday to give Chelsea a different shape.

LM: Christian Pulisic - Came off the bench and got the game-winning assists on Saturday. Potter has promised to judge him afresh.

ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Netted on his first Premier League appearance for the club and showed what he can do when on form.
