Chelsea predicted lineup vs AC Milan - Champions League

Six days after thumping AC Milan 3-0, Chelsea will travel to San Siro to try and replicate the feat.

The Blues, who beat Wolves 3-0 at the weekend, have climbed up into second in their Champions League group but still have a whole lot of work to do to ensure they book their place in the knockout stages.

With a handful of injury concerns to address, here's how Graham Potter could set up.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga - The Spaniard appears to have Potter's faith right now, but he'll need to keep the levels up as Edouard Mendy is back from injury.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah - Restored to the team after Wesley Fofana's knee injury last week, Chalobah's record of never losing when he starts remains alive.

CB: Thiago Silva - Silva was sensational against Milan and was given a rest at the weekend to ensure he's ready for this one.

CB: Marc Cucurella - Cucurella shone in the centre-back/left-back hybrid role against Wolves but might have more of a concrete spot against a side capable of causing real problems.

RM: Reece James - Cesar Azpilicueta was sensational against Wolves but, let's be real, there's no way James doesn't start this one.

CM: Conor Gallagher - Another who shone at the weekend, Gallagher is quietly emerging as a key part of Potter's setup.

CM: Mateo Kovacic - Kovacic has the big-game experience which may give him the edge of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but don't be surprised to see the latter given significant minutes off the bench.

LM: Ben Chilwell - Rested last time out, Chilwell deserves to return to the starting XI, but Potter is right to manage his minutes.

AM: Mason Mount - Two assists against Wolves will likely force Mount's way into the starting lineup.

AM: Raheem Sterling - We're yet to see Sterling return to the wing-back role that he was given in Potter's first game, despite the fact he actually did pretty well.

ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - Despite the fact Kai Havertz scored against Wolves, Chelsea need someone with more natural ruthlessness, and Auba is the only man in the squad with that tough streak.
