Chelsea set to move for Roma star

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has made 28 Serie A appearances this season managing to score 9 goals and lay on 10 others for his teammates

It is thought Antonio Conte would prefer to use him in a holding role alongside Nemanja Matic thereby bringing more pace and stability to the midfield area

He is naturally a hard graft kind of player and would fit right in to the Premier League.

AS Roma's £31 Million valuation does not present much of a stumbling block but with Manchester United also said to be actively interested in the player, the transfer might turn into a bidding war

Both teams are in a transitional period and the size of the contract might be what sways the player's decision.

Newly appointed Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte is also thought to be very keen on bringing back Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge though that move is unlikely to materialise given the player's desire to play in the Champions League.
