Chelsea to sell stars to fund Sterling bid

It seems that according to reports in the Star that Chelsea are also looking at joining the bandwagon with their report claiming the club will sell Oscar and Juan Cuadrado to finance their bid.

The report reveals that the new Premier League champions will listen to offers for the duo to enable them to join the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City in competing for the versatile 20-year-old

Jose Mourinho is willing to let the 23-year-old Oscar leave if the right deal presents itself despite stating that the Brazil international is part of his long-term plans according to the report

The Colombian winger Cuadrado who Chelsea signed for £26million has made just three starts this season and is considered something of a failure.

Sterling has a preference it is understood to be a return to London but Man City are believed to have the best package on offer although there is concern over how previous English players have been underused at the Etihad.

Liverpool however are understood to want to hold Sterling to his contract if he wants to force his way out of the club which he has two years remaining on

Showdown talks regarding his future are due to take place on Friday

Sterling’s current contract will not expire until 2017 and has already turned down a new 5-year deal understood to be worth £100,000-per-week.
