The classy centre back made a positive impression in the UEFA Champions League and has been scouted by Manchester United this season.
Blues keeper Yves Makaba Makalamby keeps in regular contact with his pal and is telling Claudio Ranieri to dip into Roman Abravomich's transfer chest once again to bring the teenager to Stamford Bridge.
"Kompany is a good friend of mine," Makalamby told La Derniere Heure.
"I have already said to the club to buy him."
The Belgian Under-18 keeper will have to wait until the summer to see if Ranieri follows his advice but Kompany, who is under contract until 2006, is sure to have plenty of options in June.
