Christian Pulisic has insisted he remains happy at Chelsea but confessed he is looking for more minutes under the new ownership of fellow American Todd Boehly.
Pulisic played 38 games in all competitions this past season but started just 13 Premier League matches, ending the campaign with eight goals and five assists.
90min understands Pulisic, along with Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi and even Romelu Lukaku, could all be available as Thomas Tuchel plans to rejig his attack under the guidance of Boehly.
Pulisic was asked about his Chelsea future after jetting off to join up with the USMNT, and he admitted he is keen to play a little more at club level.
"As far as right now, I’m obviously just focused on what I’m doing here. And I’m super excited to be here," he began. "And yeah, that’s it.
"Of course, I want to get more playing time. I want to be on the field as much as I can and be the sharpest I can be and fit as well.
"I think I still got a lot of games, but it’s always something that I’m working at and trying to be regular at club level as well to put myself in the best position to be fit when I come here with the national team."
Listen now to 90min's brand new podcast, Talking Transfers, with Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey & Toby Cudworth. This week they discuss whether Sadio Mane will leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich, Manchester United's pursuit of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, Newcastle's plans for Moussa Diaby and Sven Botman & Jorginho's future at Chelsea.
Pulisic also revealed that he had the chance to speak to Boehly before the end of the season, allowing him to figure out what the future could look like at Stamford Bridge.
"At the end of the season, we were able to meet with them and they were around the club a lot," Pulisic said of the new owners. "They are really good people so I’m excited moving forward."
Pulisic's spot in the squad could be under threat if Chelsea can land Ousmane Dembele. Club officials were confident of signing the Barcelona man on a free transfer before the takeover and sources have confirmed to 90min that they remain optimistic now that they are free to discuss signings again.
