Christmas is a time for giving and training ...

There is nothing like going to work on Christmas day is there?

Now I know priests do it, not to mention dodgy traffic wardens and clampers, but it's a bit much to expect our wonderfully paid superstars to amble into their high-powered cars and head off to Cobham for training is it?

But that's what Jose is doing for the boys - as they prepare for the Boxing Day clash against Aston Villa.

Jose revealed his spirit for Christmas by ordering in his players: "Families are more important than football but the players will be training on December 24 and 25, and we play on Boxing Day," he said.

"We look for responsibility with their ambition. Our families will suffer a little for the consequences of that, but we are all doing it for our professional ambitions.

"For the foreign players it is even more difficult than for the English ones because they cannot have Christmas in their own country, often they are without family here and they deserve respect. They are so committed."

I'll save you a chicken leg Jose.
