Christopher Nkunku has revealed he is aware that a number of Europe's top clubs are hoping to sign him this summer.
The 24-year-old has just enjoyed his best campaign to date with RB Leipzig, scoring 20 goals and registering 13 assists in the league alone as he picked up the Bundesliga's Player of the Season award.
Following his successful exploits in Saxony, Nkunku has been strongly linked with a move away. Chelsea and Manchester United are circling while a return to Paris Saint-Germain has also been touted.
Speaking to Telefoot while on international duty with France, Nkunku admitted he knows other clubs are keeping an eye on him, but hinted he could stay at Leipzig as he hopes to nail down a spot in Didieer Deschamps' squad for the World Cup.
Listen now to 90min's brand new podcast, Talking Transfers, with Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey & Toby Cudworth. This week they discuss whether Sadio Mane will leave Liverpool for Bayern Munich, Manchester United's pursuit of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, Newcastle's plans for Moussa Diaby and Sven Botman & Jorginho's future at Chelsea.
"It’s no secret there are clubs that are interested in me. Yes, it’s flattering. But it’s also flattering to have a club like Leipzig doing everything to keep me," Nkunku said.
"Here, we will have to think carefully and make a good decision. The World Cup is coming to life and this is a parameter to be taken into account.
"Like I said, you just have to think it through."
Nkunku helped lead Leipzig to their first ever piece of major silverware in May, beating Freiburg in the final of the DFB-Pokal. They also reached the semi-finals of the Europa League and secured Champions League football on the last day of the Bundesliga season.
