Cole told the Evening Standard, "I can't wait for the opportunity to play in Europe. This time next year I could be playing against Real Madrid. I want to test myself against the best. That's what it's all about.

"I watched the Real Madrid game and they were amazing. I couldn't believe some of the stuff they were doing. It was dream football.

"We want to get to that standard. I hope I can become that good and will just practice and practice to get there."
