'Connect With' Chelsea Striker Tammy Abraham & Barber Sheldon Edwards

The post-lockdown part of the 2019/20 Premier League season was memorable for a lot of different reasons, but one of the things which will live long in the memory is the sight of players who hadn't been to the hairdressers in months.

At Chelsea, Jorginho stole the show with an untamed mane and the caveman beard to match, but perhaps the biggest surprise was to see N'Golo Kante with hair on his head for once! It still hasn't sunk in.

With current health guidelines making regular trips to the hairdressers a thing of the past, Three brought barber to the stars, HD Cutz' Sheldon Edwards, to Cobham (outside of the lockdown period, of course) to teach regular client Tammy Abraham a thing or two about the business.

"Obviously with everything that's going on right now, it's hard for everyone to go to the barbershop, and I need a cut soon!" Abraham admits.

"It's important to feel good, and a haircut always makes you feel good. It gives you that extra confidence when you go out there on the pitch."

Abraham backs himself to have the best haircut at Stamford Bridge, but Edwards is keen to show him how things work on the other side of the clippers, and as the man who styles Antonio Rudiger, Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho, it's safe to say he knows what's going on.

The Chelsea striker's first test dummy is himself, or rather a dummy with his face and a wild afro stuck on top. After admitting he has no idea where to start, Abraham wastes little time chopping into the mop, nearly cuts off his 'client's' ear.

Next up is a model of Olivier Giroud, a man known for his love of looking good. This time, there's hair and a beard to deal with.

After the shaving, trimming and styling is all done, Abraham leaves Giroud looking more like a 'coconut' than a World Cup winner, but the Englishman is happy enough to send a picture of his work to the team WhatsApp group.

For Giroud's sake, it's a good job Abraham's got a career in football, not hairdressing.
