Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish said of the 1-2 victory over Chelsea: 'The players got the result that matched their ambitions.
'Glen Johnson [who got the 87th minute winner ] is not bad for a full-back, eh?
'We are happy with how we played and delighted with the three points.
'Maxi, [who scored the first goal on 33 minutes] must like London and He and Craig Bellamy are good professional.
'There were a lot of good performances,' he added.
The pragmatic Scot was not planning to comment on a title challenge, instead he said:' I don't know how many points we have.
'We are just looking forward to next weekend's game against Manchester City and then we will add up the points at the end of the season to see where we are.'
Dalglish leap to the defence of his opposite manager Villas-Boas when he was asked if he any any sympathy for the supposed underfire Chelsea boss: 'No one within the football profession will question Villas-Boas,' said Dalglish.
'He has a fantastic CV with Porto. there is huge respect for him in the game.'
