It is a shame that whatever the reasons behind tensions between Dalla Bona and Ranieri, one thing is clear: Dalla Bona will never again play for the first team. Indeed, the young midfielder was on the verge of a move last summer after turning down a contract extension at Stamford Bridge. This ultimately, has proved to be the beginning of the end.
If Chelsea are to complete the swap deal between Sam and Contra, Chelsea would be expected to take over Contra’s £4 million salary over the next three seasons – let’s hope the club doesn’t have to make any major sacrafices to bring in these new players???!!!!
Whatever the outcome, I for one, will be sad to see Sam leave.
