Michael Essien has gone on strike and says he won't play for Lyon again until they agree to sell him to Chelsea.
The highly-rated footballer has decided he will train and play with the kids at the French champions club, rather than ply his trade with the side that has made him.
"I want to play for Chelsea, I won't play for Lyon until they do. I will go and play with the kids until they let me go," he cried.
Well playing for the kids seems like the best thing for him.
If I was Lyon's president, I'd let him stew for a few months, and then kick the child out of the club during the transfer window.
If that is how he treats his present employers, what will he be like when he gets to Stamford Bridge?
What if things don't go right for him here?
We would have another Anelka on our hands.
Plus if we pay upwards of £25m for him and he starts crying, what will his transfer value be?
Jose likes to have character in his players - well this character better shape up fast.
I'm not impressed with his antics so far.
