Last season's French Footballer of the year is expected to cost around £24 million, although Chelsea have not disclosed a fee as yet. A statement on ChelseaFC.com read: "Chelsea are delighted to confirm that we have agreed terms with the French club Marseille for the transfer of Didier Drogba."
Drogba already knows what it is like to score against English defences, as he scored twice against both Liverpool and Newcastle in last season's UEFA Cup. He also scored 5 goals in the Champions League group phase, as well as 18 league goals last season.
Marseille stand to make a £20 million profit on a player who only joined them 12 months ago!
