Eidur Gudjonsen: Mr Media
After the game, when questioned on the whether Scotland could qualify, Eidur said "Why not? There is a great atmosphere here with a great crowd.
"Scotland will be battling for the top place. On paper, everyone sees Germany as the favourites for the group.
"But, with a bit of luck, Scotland could get a result at home to Germany and challenge for the first place."
Let's hope so too...
And according to Iceland coach Atli Edvaldsson, Eidur is a few years away from being a complete player- good news for us Blues fans though, many of whom rate Eidur as one of the best players at the club. Edvaldsson said "Eidur is very important for us now but he is a future player also and we are waiting for him to inspire players to follow him.
"He's young and ambitious but he needs two or three years more but then we will see a fantastic player for Iceland."
And finally (this is the bad news!).... Eidur limped off towards the end of the match with a groin injury. It is not thought to be serious and, as usual, Chelsea-Mad will keep you up to date with the situation.
