Well have Chelsea signed a superstar striker or a Robert Fleck?
That's the question on the lips of Jersey fans.
A season-loan deal for Radamel Falcao has been in the offing for weeks now.
The Colombia hit-man spent a season on loan at Manchester United last term from Monaco and in the thick end of 28 appearances notched up a paltry four strikes.
Now he will attempt to repair his damaged reputation at Stamford Bridge and provide Jose Mourinho with a credible alternative to Diego Costa.
He will get to meet many of his team mates on the pe-season tour of the U.S. Later this month and will look to play at least a half of the Community Shield match at Wembley on August 2 where the Blues will face Arsenal legend Petr Cech.
Chelsea will want to avoid the damage to their reputation, but if Falcao proves to be a dud, he won't be the first high-profile striker to fail to live up to their prolific reputation.
Andrey Shevchenko and Fernando Torres are the two who stand-out in the Roman Bramovich era as being top flops.
Chelsea fans who are aware that the club's had history before the Russian rocked up might like to cast their minds back to September 1992 when, following a sensational goal scored by Norwich Cory striker Robert fleck at Stamford Bridge the previous season, the Scot arrived at Chelsea
In the next three season, he played 35 league games scoring just three goals.
The £2.1million signing was offloaded on a series of loans (sound familiar Falcao?) before returning to Norwich.
So will Falcao be a hit or a miss?
We will find out in the coming months.
