But their reaction at the news of a change of date for the Everton away game is almost spot on.
The date has been changed from Saturday, April 19 to Thursday, April 17 - all in the name of TV.
Now Chelsea have said that they have taken the TV shilling but still are disappointed at the change at such a critical stage of the season.
It's a welcome change to see that they cite supporter inconvienience as factor that has led them to being "disappointed".
But it's obvious that there then main problem is that it give out title-chasing rivals a boost in reagrd to recovery time from matches.
Some might say and it's a relevent stance that if you go into bed with the TV companies, then they will make demands of you. THis is clearly the case here and Chelsea will just have to live with it.
They could of course offer all travelling Chelsea fans a free match ticket and travel.
