Ranieri has favoured the strike pairing of Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen for the majority of this season and the pair have repaid his faith by hitting 49 goals between them. But Forsell has bagged 9 goals this season, all of them coming as a substitute. The young Finn came off the bench to score an absolute cracker against Sunderland at the weekend and Ranieri said: "Every match is a nightmare for me because Mikael scores and wants to play more."
Prior to this season, Forsell had spent 18 months with Crystal Palace on loan. Palace had hoped to make the move permanent but Forsell's performances convinced Chelsea that he was going to be a player for the future. His goals this year have simply been a bonus for the Blues.
