The Daily Mail are reporting that Frank Lampard is set to join MLS giants La Galaxy this January. Having started on the bench against Tottenham last Saturday in a match which Chelsea won 4-2, Frank Lampard would have been sitting there thinking how much longer has left for the London side.
Chelsea find themselves top of The Barclay's Premier League ? and have done it with little assistance from their once key midfielder. Having started just four of Chelseas eight league games ? Lampard is having little affect to Chelsea's title challenge.
With the Blues going for a more youthful set up in their side ? the Stamford Bridge legend may look to move on ? after 11 years of service. The MLS side will be able to pay his ?130,000 a week salary ? and Lampard is believed to be available on the cheap due to his contract issue.
Lampard's current deal expires at the end of the season ? and he is set to earn a massive loyaly bonus if he is too see out his contract. Something Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich doesn't see necessary for a soon to be 34 year old.
However ? England boss Roy Hodgson is still a clear favourite of Frank Lampard. If Frank is still keen on playing for England, for whom he has 93 international caps for ? a move to the MLS for first team football will give him the ability to prove to Hodgson he still has the ability to play football for his country ? and earn a deserved 100 caps.
Lampard was seen watching LA Galaxy play with former England team mate David Beckham earlier this year ? with the LA Galaxy icon set to be an integral part in negotiations in luring Lampard to MLS soccer.
