Wayne Bridge is wanted by Fulham on a permanent deal.
Bridge, 25 is on loan to Fulham until the end of the season and is expected to return to the Blues in the summer ahead of their pre-season trip to the US.
But Fulham boss Chris Coleman wants to turn loan to permanent deal.
He said:"He's part of the guys and fitted in well.
"I don't know if I can get him but I would love to. But that decision will be made by Chelsea."
Bridge signed for the Blues for £7m in July 2003.
He fell foul of a ankle injury and then down the pecking order when Chelsea signed Asier del Horno.
