He said on Chelsea TV that he had a hamstring problem and received treatment for it in Paris.

“ I was in Paris to see my specialist because I have a problem with my hamstring, and I went to see the doctor and I came back today,” he explained.

“When I was in France someone called me and told me, ‘You are in the Caribbean?’ and I said, ‘No, why?’ and the man told me, "because you are in the newspaper and maybe you have a big problem with Ranieri.’

‘I said no, I just talked with him before Manchester and I told him I can't play because I have a problem with my hamstring, it's painful and he said, ‘Okay’, and that's it.”

He then revealed that he could be fit for the visit of already relegated Leeds United this Saturday.

“I hope so. Today I trained, I ran and maybe tomorrow I am going to touch the ball and after we will see, we will see.”
