At the time, Jesper was pleading with the referee not to send Unsworth off and, once red had been shown, Jesper could clearly be seen telling the ref "It was nothing!"
And he has now offered more support for Unsworth. Speaking in the Evening Standard, Jesper said "I can't understand the sending-off.
"If Everton appeal, I'll definitely appear on David's behalf. It was a genuine tussle for the ball, although I did feel a boot in the back of my head."
A boot in the back of the head! I tell you, if someone booted me in the back of the head, I wouldn't be so happy to help them get off the hook! Jesper is clearly a better man than I am...
And his fellow Scandanavian, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is also a great man.
Not content with being part of the United team that destroyed Arsenal (and allowing Chelsea to move within 2 points of our London rivals), Solskjaer made me chuckle when he said, "It was very funny to see how they were starting to shout at each other towards the end."
