Chelsea suffered a new defensive blow with right-back Branislav Ivanovic rated doubtful for Saturday's showpiece FA Cup Final.
Chelsea have confirmed that the knee injury in training has led them to shelve plans to name an unchanged team for the clash with Portsmouth at Wembley.
"He's been training and will be assessed over the next 48 hours. Paulo Ferreira will come in if Ivanovic is not passed fit," the spokesman said.
John Terry is still having treatment following his scan yesterday but Carlo Ancelotti remains confident that his captain will lead the side out and take his place on the plane to South Africa for the World Cup in June.
Ancelotti said: "John has trained well and is ready to play."
