Joaquin will not be joining Chelsea in January according to Spanish press.
But the winger could be tempted over to London for next season.
Chelsea had been tracking the Spaniard for some time, but, after he scored the winning goal against Atletico Madrid this week, he admitted that he is staying in Seville: "If the president says that I am staying, I have always said he will have the final word." Real Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera confirmed to Marca newspaper that Joaquin had been a subject of a bid from Chelsea but he was staying - for now.
"I am going to make the fans happy. They have asked me not to let him go and that is what I am going to do," he said.
"We've already turned down the largest offer for a player in this city. We will not study any more this season," he added.
But Chelsea will get their man if they want.
He also confirmed Chelsea's interest in the player last season and that: "If they raise their offer, one day we are going to say yes."
