The nephew of Chelsea legend John Terry, 18-year-old centre-back Frankie, is on trial with the Blues with a view to a permanent switch to Cobham.
Frankie is currently on the books at Colchester United but has been out on loan with non-league side Maldon & Tiptree to gain experience in the senior game.
He's yet to feature for the senior side but played a starring role as Colchester Under-18's saw off Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup earlier this season, coming out on top against highly-rated trio Charlie Patino, Omari Hutchinson and Khayon Edwards.
Reports of a trial at Cobham began to surface on Twitter towards the end of January and numerous sources, including Nizaar Kinsella, have now confirmed that Terry has been at Chelsea in the past few days to try to earn a contract.
Rising Ballers, with whom Chelsea have worked closely to recruit other academy talents, report that a fee has already been agreed with Colchester if the Blues decide to follow through with a contract offer for Terry, whose current deal is up in the summer.
Should he join, Terry would be added to an Under-23 side which has struggled more than most before them in the Roman Abramovich era.
Left-back Dylan Williams has been signed from Derby County to bolster the academy side, while striker Mason Barstow has also joined but will spend the rest of the season on loan with Charlton.
