Ahh, the boys are back in training, Jose has held his first press conference and lo and behold, the boss is in the FA dock already.
The FA are to look at comments made by Jose in his Tuesday press conference.
Jose's comments are about apparent (as he see it) Arsenal bias when it comes to fixtures post Champions league games.
It's an old chestnut of Jose's but one that still needs examination.
Jose demanded a meeting with the FA and Premier League last season to discuss this fact but his PR people failed to come up with the goods.
So, what is our beloved leader to do?
I'd like to see independent scrutiny of the fixture compilation process.
What harm is it to have a journalist or two, plus members of interested parties, perhaps Jose and Mr Dein at the actual event?
The days of simply accepting everything presented to you is over as far as football is concerned.
The computer program that devises the fixtures should factor in home games on a Sunday for all teams playing in Wednesday and Thursday European games. They should also be play on the Saturday prior to those games.
This will ensure that our teams are not playing at a disadvantage in terms of recovery time and have every chance of progressing in the competitions.
Then teams playing in those leagues game won't have the worry in the back of their minds that a league rival has had an unfair advantage.
Then perhaps Jose can vent his anger at Mr Kenyon for not producing the players he really wanted, when he wanted them.
