Barcelona have labelled Jose Mourinho as "pathetic" for their upcoming complaint to UEFA about Frank Rijkaard's "talk" to Anders Frisk.
Barcelona's assistant coach Henk Ten Cate has come out fighting and said: " To react the way Chelsea have is pathetic. Mourinho lied with the line-ups, and now this."
Just what happened in the tunnel in the Camp Nou, at half-time, during the Champions League clash will be subject to a UEFA investigation - assuming Chelsea follow through with their official complaint.
The fact that Rijkaard did talk to the controversial referee is enough for the Catalan club to be censured.
But Chelsea's case will be weakened by the fact UEFA's official observer did not see anything unusual.
Still it's a handy camouflage for the poor result and will keep the Carling Cup Final off the back pages until Saturday, at least.
Jose knows what he is doing and all this bluster from the Stamford Bridge outfit is intended to instill as sense of injustice.
The attempt will be to motivate the players even more for Sunday's showpiece event.
It will also motivate players and supporters for the return Champions League encounter.
Jose always thinks one match ahead and any chance to score some vital mind game points will be taken gleefully.
It's all go for Sunday - now's the time for the talking to stop and for Jose to put some silverware in the cabinet.
C'mon the Blues
