Chelsea look set to win the battle for Anderlecht's Belgiun teen sensation Romelu Lukaku.
The deal, believed to be in the order of £24m will see the 18-year-old move to SW6 on a four-year deal.
The Blues have being chasing the striker since last year and now, it looks as if the deal could be finalised before the end of business on Monday.
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay is expected to return to London from the Far East this weekend and head straight to Belgium to put pen to paper.
Anderlecht general manager, Herman van Holsbeeck, said: “There is still a long way to go in the negotiations.".
“We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to.
“It could happen in the next half hour, it could take until August 31, that is football.”
