And Lamps revealed "We are not worried about Arsenal as we have got 12 points as well. Teams will have good and bad periods in the season, lots of things will be said, but we are only going to get better.
"We have got 12 points, which is what we wanted at this stage, and we have had a hard start. We have played Manchester United at home and Birmingham away, which are very tough games, and we have won them.
"Arsenal are looking very good and we know that but we will be doing our best to challenge them all season."
Lamps also praised Arsenal's unbeaten record last season, saying "I would not say that was a freak because it would not be fair to Arsenal, who deserved every result they got, but it will be very difficult to do again with the quality of the league this year.
"I don't think we will win every game and can't see us going through the season unbeaten.
"But we will keep trying to win games because Arsenal hardly ever lose. We want to win the league. If we lose three or four games and win the league, then we will be happy."
