Lamps wins football writers' top gong

Frank Lampard has won the coveted Football Writers' Footballer of the Year award.
The best and longest award has gone to the Chelsea dynamo with John Terry a very close second.
Jaime Carragher was third.
The Chelsea duo polled 90 per cent of the votes between them.
Lampard will receive the award at a dinner at the Lancaster Hotel on May 19 - the traditional Thursday night before the FA Cup Final date.
I voted for John Terry.
Lamps is the second Chelsea player to win the award - Gianfranco Zola won in 1997.
Well done Lamps.
