David Luiz has played his last game for Chelsea if reports circulating today are to be believed.
The Brazil defender will be heading off through the EuroTunnel and zipping along the French motorway to Paris in a £52m deal that will see him ply his mercurial talent with Paris St Germain next season.
Luiz a was a long-term target for Barcelona and Luiz would still prefer to play in Spain, but PSG has decided to cough up the most cash and Chelsea has rightly decided to offload the player to the higest bidder.
With financial fair play rules hampering Chelsea's ability to launch £100m plus spedning deals from Roman Abramavich's pocket alone, Chelsea has to sell to raise the money to complete the Diego Costa deal which will see the striker move from Atletico Madrid to Stamford Bridge next week.
Luiz is seen as surplus to Jose Mourinho's requirements as Luiz has flittered between centre-back, his prefered position and midfield.
A good bit of business and part of the revolution that will see Mourinho declare his side is fighting fior the Premier league title next season and not just for a top-four finish.
