Makelele Retires ....

31 year old Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele has taken the decision to reture from international football for France, and focus on his Chelsea career.

After making his France debut in July 1995, Claude won 35 caps and was a regular in the team.

After failing to even make the bench for France's trip to the Faroe Islands, he decided it was time to call it a day at international level.

Claude returns to his homeland tomorrow for Chelsea's visit to Paris Saint Germain.
