Moaninho Slated!

Mourinho blasted Spurs in his post match interview, claiming that they made no attempt to win. He also heavily criticised the diving of the Spurs players, as well as the amount of time they spent getting treated on the pitch. His comments clearly didn't impress former Spurs player Chris Waddle...

Waddle said: "What does he want, Spurs to come to Chelsea, play four up front and lose 5-1 or 6-1?. Football's all about systems. It's about getting the players to work hard and defending the goal. That's what Tottenham did on Sunday and they did it well.

"Chelsea are in the bracket of Manchester United and Arsenal now. They've got to get used to it. Claudio Ranieri never used to moan about teams coming to the Bridge and playing a system.

"Mourinho should be used to it anyway, in the Champions League with Porto. Most of his Porto teams went away and defended. They came and robbed Manchester United when they won 2-1 last season - they never really had an attack."

"Mourinho believes he's the best manager and he believes, probably, that he's the best-looking manager."

And former Porto coach Octavia Machado says that we should all get used to Mourinho's moaning- because he was always at it whilst in charge of Porto!

Machado said "When his team do not win he always blames the referees and the opponents, saying their behaviour was anti-fair play and too defensive. How many times has he used this tactic to justify a result in Portugal?

"It's rare he considers he's the man responsible for any poor result. Besides that, he knows very well how to use the press.

"By using the press, he puts a lot of pressure on the referees and the opponents. He always has problems with players and and football agents and shows no respect to other coaches.

"But no-one in Portugal was expecting he could lose points two games in a row. I don't know what the English think of him but everyone realises he must do better at Chelsea."

Ouch!
