Mutu's form for Chelsea by the end of last season was non-existent. He barely played for the last 3 months of the season, and it was widely thought that he would be on his way this summer.
But, after a reported reconciliation with his ex-wife, Adrian is now ready to settle down. The couple are planning on buying a house just outside London to share with their son Mario.
Adrian told the Evening Standard: "I made mistakes last season but I've changed.
"Sometimes when I should have stayed in the house with my family I went out. There are a lot of temptations in London and I am young and human. After scoring lots of goals early on I had difficulty keeping my feet on the ground but now I have realised that what happens on the pitch is the priority.
"I say to Chelsea fans "watch this space" because I plan to do only good things from now on."
If he plays anywhere near the level that he reached last August and September, it could be a very good year indeed for Adrian Mutu...
